Dave Remy has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1985. He specializes in hair extensions for women and men. Dave has developed his own technique called, "The European Inter-Lock". This method was developed for woman with thin hair. Weaves with braids are too damaging on fine hair. The European does not allow for braiding, gluing or any lumps. It should last between three to five months. The hair extension is sewed directly to your roots with cotton thread so there will not be any damage to your existing hair. This technique works beautifully on Caucasian, Hispanic and Ethnic hair. Another type of technique which is used is "Strand by Strand". This works with protein silicone that lasts four to six months. Most salons use glue, which does not last as long. This technique does not break your existing hair once it is removed. Another popular method is the Keratin Bond. This new bonding technique is actually good for your hair and can give you up to 24 inches of lengthened hair. The extensions are bonded to the hair with the same protein your hair is made out of and at a certain frequency, it will soften the bond and not damage your hair. Once the bond is soft, it's rolled around a section of hair (about the size of thin highlight) until the entire head is complete. The latest technique is Silicone based with a micro-cylinder shell. Each cylinder contains hundreds of strands of beautiful human hair. These individual cylinders are then crimped on section by section to your original hair. It is strong, weightless and lasts for months.Whichever technique you choose, the outcome will add gorgeous length with 100 human hair.
